Jesus himself said in John 12:24 NLT

24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.

I totally understand what he meant there and have preached it for years… however.. dying is not always an easy process.

I have faced many obstacles in my life, as I’m sure you have, and most of you know my battles.  Today I was faced with the final move of my business.  I have seen countless lives changed through Christ and the gift of music through the vehicle of Sandhills Music Center.  Today ended that path in the way I have known it. I am in the process of the seed being planted.. and the seed is dying.  It hurts.

The truth is, I know the truth.  There WILL be new life.  I have no idea what that looks like and the idea of new life doesn’t really make this death part feel any better, but I hold on the fact that #Godsgotthis

Chances are if you are reading this, you have been touched in one way or the other from my dream.  Oh.. I still have a dream and satan can’t steal that from me.

I wonder what dream you have?  I wonder what dream you had?  We all experience death of a dream at some point.  The reality is looking for new life.  If we live in the death.. keep digging up the seed.. nothing new grows.  Death can haunt.  Death can hurt and death can heal.

Wait.. did I say death can heal.  Yes I did.  I know through the death of this season in my life, new life will come.  It will come for you too.  I want to encourage you not to hold onto death.  I remember reading something awesome God said to us all a LONG time ago:

  • Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT)

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

Today, I choose life. I choose to endure the process.  I choose to trust my God.  I choose to live.

I hope you choose to live today.  I hope you choose to forgive.  To release.  To trust and to die of yourself.

Only God can truly satisfy, hold on and trust #Godsgotthis
