ROMANS 12: 1-2 (The Message)
1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

1. You Must Be Infected First

It’s so easy to be swayed by so much these days.  It is amazing to me what is “normal” today and what is accepted today that was out of the question just 15 years ago.  Don’t expect the culture around us to get more godly… not going to happen on it’s own. The primary way to grow up and grow in Christ is to fix your attention on Him.  When He has your full attention the blinders come off and you can see better than any Claritin commercial could ever imagine! It will change you from the inside out.. if you’re not seeing constant maturity and growth as a result of embracing God.. you may not really be embracing God.  Get infected.. Infected people affect people.

2.  Become a Catalyst For Action

If you are living an infected life of worship, you will no doubt have certain rhythm’s in your life that will inspire people. For example, I post a short daily devotion, I write a blog, I post songs I write.. whatever your inspiration may be can be a catalyst for action.  I can’t tell you how many times people have messaged me or commented privately about something I said or did that inspired them.  Understand… I don’t do it for kudo’s.. I can’t help but to do it.. Jesus said I only do and say what the Father says.. what is your catalyst?

3. Don’t Settle For Cozy

Cozy environments never create enough space for challenge.  Ever come home from a long day and sit in the big fat chair and fall asleep??  Well… If you came home to a stiff bed of sharp nails, things would be quite different.  I’m not suggesting you trade in the old lounge chair (rest is good and needed) just don’t stay there.  Sometimes we need a jab, a stick, a poke to get us moving in the right direction.  If you never settle for cozy and live an infected life that is a catalyst for action, you will affect the culture around you.

I have found personally there is nothing and no one that gets me like Him. Some can come close, but no one like Him. When others experience that, it changes everything!!  Yet another reason to remember…  #GodsGotThis
