2 Corinthians 6:2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.
We are living through an increased time of anxiety in our culture. An unrest of souls is occuring and people are becoming lovers of themselves vs lovers of God. No longer seeking truth, but allowing their situation to be their truth.
If you look at the hour glass, you see the top portion is wide and vast.. much room for things, but as it goes towards the center, it narrows, options decrease, intensity increases until it is finally squeezed through falling to a new place, a place of expansion and growth.
It is a common human trait to doubt and to doubt when the pressure builds and the squeeze is on.
At the time I am writing this blog the news is flooded with senseless acts of murder. Men killed in an instant, time seemingly stopped. It seemed the sand stopped moving. Reckless, horrific acts. Families torn apart. Plans thwarted.
Although it seems to stop.. time stops for no one. It continues to pour.. sifting grain by grain, hour by hour, day by day, year by year. Travesties will continue to occur and this lost world will continue to grieve and try to find it’s own solution, which in the end, leads to death.
What we have is an hour glass approach to life. Today is the day of salvation. Today is the day of freedom. Today is the day of new beginning. That is the large space. Wide with opportunity, yet imperative for decision.
It all sifts, the grains of pain, heartache, sorrow, loss, victory, success, healing and joy all squeeze together.
Know that He hears you. He hears your cry, your prayer. He is moved by compassion for you. But we must move in His direction. Willing to endure the sifting. Willing to endure the pressure of coming to the truth not a truth.
Today the glass is up. Each day you have a choice and it is all yours. Today is the right time. Your salvation is near!!!
