““Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t want to see something as a result of the effort put in.  The hard part (at least for me) is when I understand the job, I want to knock it out.  I’m a ready, set, go kinda guy… the reality is that the best way is to be ready, set, wait.

Jesus was very clear to us many times in scripture and today I wanted to share a couple of ways to fruit in your life.

1. Realize who you are.

Jesus said I AM THE VINE.. the source.. branches don’t ever come before the vine. WE ARE THE BRANCHES.  It’s great to have a vision or idea, but what I’ve had to realize is that I’m part of the idea giver.. I’m not the visionary, I’m the vision. That doesn’t mean that He won’t use me to be a visionary, or be an idea creator etc.. It’s a matter of perspective and I’ve learned, unless I ABIDE IN THE VINE… I WILL NEVER BRANCH OUT.  Here’s the other thing.. the good fruit grows on the branches.. How awesome is that?? By abiding in the vine, not resisting but submitting and trusting, the fruit is incredible!!

2. Realize who you are not.

Apart from me, you can do nothing. I have an old car in the garage. It has an engine, doors, glass, seats, tires.. all the good stuff that it takes to make a car.  I was only missing one thing… A GAS TANK!!  Without that gas tank installed and the gas lines running to the engine.. it meant nothing.. goes nowhere. As a means of transportation, it is useless.

It’s okay to be a buff and incredible car. With tons of great options and the best of the best accessories.. but without a gas tank.. YOU DO NOTHING. I am not all that… HE IS.. apart from Christ, I’m just some sort of potential item, but powered with Christ.. Abiding in Him.. EVERYTHING CHANGES!

My friends, I want to encourage you to not grow overly anxious in the vision. Not to get caught up too much in the vehicle.  Be patient enough to trust the one in whom you are connected to. He has the nutrients, He knows what and when to prune, He has the plan for the harvest. Realize who you are and who you are not.

The fruit will come if you never lose perspective that #GodsGotThis
