“Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you.”
Psalms 86:11 NLT
Life. We all have or own definitions don’t we? If you check out the bible there are tons of ways that the word life is explained and in all my readings, my understanding, my experience, I’ve found only one way that really works.
In Psalms 86:11 we are taught to seek after God as a teacher (no doubt the best around) 🙂 that I might LIVE….
It goes on… but for now, let’s just pause at live.
LIVE
To know that if we know his ways, to seek after his ways, to know our purpose, to walk that out accordingly, that in itself is life lived!
It didn’t read… “Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I might die a horribly boring stupid life…” No, it said live.
Now living life doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with curve balls. It just means that when that one comes toward home plate, you would be equipped with what to do.
My friends, I want to encourage you today to ask God the same thing, “Teach me”.
As you sit with your teacher today, live accordingly to what he teaches and with that pure heart, go and change the world!
Oh… almost forgot… when that curve ball starts coming, don’t ever forget…
