We all have priorities. Some of them might be things like: losing weight, staying healthy, advancing in your job, saving for retirement, raising decent children. All of those are good, noble and common and things that are admirable, but are they hated?
It is amazing to have priorities in life, but are your priorities priority to you? There is a difference between goals and ideas and priorities. Here is something that will blow your socks off:
The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. John 15:19 NLV

SO IT HATES YOU”
Wow! That is wild!! We live in such an upside down world, that CHOOSING to live a right side up way of life, creates a person of priorities HATED BY THE WORLD.
Okay, so I have many friends that are not followers of Christ and they don’t “hate” me (most days), however, if I choose to live with priorities that honor Christ, that in itself can be hated.
Really? Yes. For example, in today’s hot debated political realm (I love my country, but my King is Jesus) I pray for my leaders. I pray for my President. I honor my President (as all followers of Christ should) and that in itself can be a hated issue. (Side note: you don’t have to agree with, be madly in love with the/a President, you just have to love him/her enough to pray that God will work through that person the way God so chooses). I could care less about a political debate, I DO care about honoring God. Living right side up and praying for our President as God clearly directed. That is just an example, but hopefully you get the point of how it is possible to have priorities that are hated.
So the challenge and question today is, do you live out priorities in your life that are NOT designed just to piss people off (sorry..just being bluntly transparent) but are designed to honor God, live right side up and be a priority that could put you on the world’s most hated list?
I want to encourage you to not give up. Don’t ever give in. Live a life of priorities that are priority to you and hated by the world you live in and never, never forget in all of it:
