Well, now that I have your attention. I wish it were easy to just understand. If you think of the word understanding I’m sure the first thing that comes to mind is having answers.

Well…As we all know, it’s not that easy!

As I was sitting and thinking this morning I had a mental image of Jesus standing. I’ve always considered him strong, true, holy, dependable and loving. That’s someone I’m willing to sit under. So that gives me a new definition for the word Under Standing.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

It can no doubt be frustrating when you feel you don’t understand things.  There have been many times in my life and many recently of some things I just don’t understand. Many people can try to explain it, many people have opinions, many people think they have understanding.

I am learning to trust in a peace that surpasses understanding. We don’t always have to know everything. As a parent I have learned to observe some things about my children and their quest to know things. I have found and my wife has found as well, there are some things that are better that our kids don’t know right now. It’s not that we don’t want them to know the truth, it’s not that we want to hide anything from them, it’s not that we want them to be ignorant. Sometimes the timing is just not right for information that may overwhelm or confuse them.

I have to believe that our Heavenly Father  knows way better than we do. I have to believe that Dad knows way better than I do and I simply have to trust in him knowing that his loving peace WILL surpass all understanding.

This little blog may grow increasingly frustrating for you because I didn’t give a solid answer. I’m hoping that the answer I provided in understanding may help a bit more with your quest. I hope and pray that you can sit at a standing Jesus who is strong and loving and caring and for you. Hey, always remember…#GodsGotThis
