PSALM 66:10-12 ESV

10 For you, O God, have tested us;
    you have tried us as silver is tried.
11 You brought us into the net;
    you laid a crushing burden on our backs;
12 you let men ride over our heads;
    we went through fire and through water;
yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.

Ever felt like you are going through fire???  We all do.. so here is one easy step to understand how to achieve breakthrough:

1. A journey of blessing and breakthrough is not always one of comfort.

Don’t expect comfort. Going through the fire, experiencing a heavy burden.. that is the place where breakthrough happens.

If a chicken just stayed in the egg.. it would rot away and never be born, offering us some incredible fried breakthrough later!! 🙂

You have to understand that the shell of trial is there to protect you for a period of time.. but eventually, it’s up to you to:

break out to break through!!

Instead of complaining (like I do a lot) when the heat is on.. how about looking to the Lord. Realize that He never leaves you or forsakes you. Realize that there is a time and a season and trust Him. He is the God of breakthrough!!!

When an entire Army was going to crush His people…. they were swallowed up in a sea.

When Paul and Silas were locked up in a jail and decided to worship.. he rocked that prison and they were set free!

When I was bound by drugs and alcohol and lost in a world that was dark and lonely, he sent a friend to tell me about Jesus….

The list can go on forever!!!  He has done it before and He will do it again!! He is the God of breakthrough.

So no matter what you may be facing right now.. Understand He is faithful!!! (1 Corinthians 10:13) and don’t ever forget… #GodsGotThis
